Sandtrap Virtual Golf League – Rules & Format

Season Overview

• Season Length: 8 Weeks
   

• Play Window: December 1 – January 31
   

• Play Requirement: Each participant must complete 6 matches within the 8-week season.
   

• Playoffs Begin: Week of February 9
   

Players can complete matches at their own pace during the regular season.

 

Match Setup

• Course Yardage: 6,500 – 6,800 yards
   

• Gimme Circle: 8 feet
   

• Lie Penalties: OFF
   

• Format: Individual Stroke Play (Gross & Net tracking)

Playoff Course & Tees: Will be mutually agreed upon by the two players competing in each match.

 

 

Registration & Prizes

• Entry Fee: $70
   

• Prizes Awarded To:
   

  • 🥇 Top Gross Finisher (Lowest total score)
     

  • 🥈 Top Net Finisher (Handicap-adjusted total)

  • The playoff winner and runner up will also receive prizes.

  • Weekly draw prizes 

Playoff Format

• Qualifiers: Top 8 finishers in the Net Division advance
   

• Format: 1v1 Match Play (Net) Bracket
   

• Match Deadline: Each playoff round must be completed within one week of the previous round.
   

 

Additional Notes

• Matches can be played anytime during The Sandtrap Virtual Golf open hours.
   

• Players must submit verified scorecards after each match. Send a Picture scorecard to 204-304-6952 and list your full name underneath the picture.
   

• Tiebreakers/Countbacks will be the best net score in the final week. If the final week is tied the count back will go to week 5, week 4 etc.

​

• Proof of handicap must be sent in with registration. Handicap will be adjusted to a “Simulator Handicap” which will take 65% of your actual handicap.

​

• Rounds must be attested and no mulligans will be allowed unless a glitches occur. 

​

• Hourly sim fee must still be paid on top of league fee. League members will receive a 10% discount off booking when playing league match.
